Teacher resume for schools in India

Private schools and many selection panels still want a one- or two-page CV they can parse: subject, classes taught, B.Ed, and any TET or CTET you actually hold.

Preview is free. Pay with UPI only when you download.

Sections that help a school shortlist

Header: name, city, phone, email. Then a two-line summary of subject and board (CBSE, ICSE, state, IB) if true. Experience: school name, city, classes, subjects, Month Year dates. Add 3–5 bullets: lesson planning, assessments, lab or activity work, parent communication — with a result if you have one (pass rate, attendance, a programme you ran).

Put B.Ed, D.El.Ed, or M.Ed under Education. List TET, CTET, or state eligibility only if you have the certificate. Do not invent a qualifying exam. New teachers can use a fresher layout with internships and practice-teaching.

Photos, tables, and government forms

Many Indian schools still expect a photo on a printed CV. For email and ATS portals, keep a parse-safe copy without a photo, then use Creative Portrait only when the school asks. Government application forms often want their own PDF — this builder is for the school CV you attach, not for filling an official OMR.

Stay single-column for uploads. Preview on A4 so your degrees stay on page one. Download PDF for email from ₹99. See resume format if you are unsure about length.

Teacher resume questions

B.Ed, TET/CTET if you have them, and school CVs in India.

Should a teacher resume include a photo in India?

Only if the school asks. Keep a no-photo ATS file for portals. Use a photo template for the printed copy they request.

Do I need CTET on the resume?

Include CTET or state TET if you have passed. Leave it off if you have not — do not write “appearing” unless the posting asks.
